Important Resources for Russellville Families & School Community

Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, November SNAP benefits may not be issued starting November 1.

This impacts over 550,000–600,000 Kentuckians, including many of our Russellville Independent Schools and Logan County families. Benefits will resume once funding is restored, and backpay is expected (though processing delays are likely).

To help our families through this challenging time, we’ve created a comprehensive food assistance flyer with verified local resources in Russellville and Logan County. These pantries and programs are ready to support you—please call ahead to confirm hours and eligibility.

Digital flyers are attached to this document and posted to our school website.
Key Highlights from the Flyer:

  • Logan County Good Samaritan – Free food boxes (call (270) 725-9002)
  • CHFS Family Support – SNAP status & emergency help ((855) 306-8959)
  • Team Kentucky Fund – Grocery vouchers ((270) 726-2459)
  • Feeding America Partners – Open pantries with regular hours
  • 2-1-1 Hotline – 24/7 help with food, utilities, and more
  • Russellville Independent Schools FRYSC Support – Direct family assistance
Carol Kees (RE Stevenson Elementary): (270) 726-4798
Debbie Browder (Russellville Middle School and Russellville High School): (270) 726-4799

If your family needs support, please don’t wait—reach out to your child’s school, FRYSC, or any resource listed.
Thank you for your strength and resilience.
