Good Sunday evening to all. I want to take the opportunity to congratulate a few of our students on specific accomplishments during the past week!First of all, congratulations to Coach Myers, his football staff and the team on an impressive first round play-off win. We will travel to Bardstown on Friday night to play Bethlehem High School in the 2nd round. Game time is 7:00 PM EST, which means 6:00 our time. The physical address is 309 W. Stephen Foster Ave. We hope that several of our fans will make the trip to support our players and coaches!
On Tuesday of this past week, five Russellville High School seniors were honored for outstanding academic excellence by Western Kentucky University. Jason Fox, Jeffrey Fox, Emilie Gill, Ethan Mullen and Malis Vanna were honored at a luncheon hosted by WKU at the new Augenstein Alumni Center (see attached picture).
Our RHS Swim team began their season on Thursday evening with an impressive scrimmage with Logan Co at the Carpenter Center. Their first meet will be in a few weeks at the Hilltopper Invitational at WKU on Nov. 7th. I hear that several of our students put up some of their best times on Thursday evening and we look forward to seeing more out of these students. The team is also holding a swimming-thon to help raise money for team expenses. If you are interested in sponsoring a swimmer, please contact coach Toni Hall at [email protected].
