On Thursday, April 2, 2015, the Gifted and Talented High School Students met in the Chorus Room to hear a special guest, Amanda Pawley, speak about her lovely business, Pawley’s Pottery. She shared her love for pottery and how she became interested in pottery. She displayed some of the items that she has crafted and sells. It was very clear that she has a talent that she has been able to develop into her livelihood. The students and staff enjoyed hearing her presentation. The Gifted and Talented Middle School Students also met in Room 1 to hear staff from 1st Southern Bank, Steve Croft and Misty Bromm, share valuable information about their bank and the benefits offered there. The students have been studying in class how to “build their own bank”, and these speakers were helpful with the students understanding interest, check writing, etc. This was another good presentation that was beneficial to our students.
