The 2014 Jr/Sr RHS Prom was held last night at the Logan Co
Extension office. Many students came dressed in their best for
socializing, dancing, and refreshments served by Three Sisters Catering (Mrs.
Paulette Smith). We would like to thank everyone who was instrumental in the
organizing, planning and designing of this year’s Masquerade/Mardi Gras themed
event. A special thanks to Mrs. Susannah Nelson for heading the prom
committee and ensuring everything went according to plans! We also want
to thank the parents who helped to decorate and setup, in addition to those who
stayed and returned to help clean-up afterwards. We greatly appreciate
the help and support to ensure our students had a memorable night this year.
The RHS Students of the Quarter (3rd nine weeks)
were recognized during grade level meetings this past week. Teachers are
asked to nominate and select students for this honor based on their work habits
and ethics, overall character and school spirit. The following students
were chosen for the 3rd nine weeks:
9th grade: Shayla Oberhausen
10th grade: Nicholas Scarbrough and Ayana
Hill-Hines
11th grade: Wesley Stratton
12th grade: Emilie Gill

The Russellville RockStars Special Olympics team was in
action this past Saturday at the Special Olympics event held at Bowling Green
