2019 Hall of Fame, 1/5/19

Hall of Fame

The Russellville Athletic Association Athletic Hall of Fame Committee presented a great evening Friday, Jan. 5, as they were pleased and proud to announce the 2019 inductees. The evening began with a lovely reception at 6pm in the cafeteria, where the Committee, Board Members, the Inductees, family members, and friends all gathered. The 2019 Inductees were: Kenneth Knight, RHS Class of 1948, was a football and basketball star for the Panthers. He played for Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant at the University of Kentucky. A tragic car accident cut short his collegiate and what many said a professional career. Roderick Holman, RHS Class of 1980, played basketball and ran track for the Panthers. He scored 1630 points during his career. His 45 points against Trigg County in 1979, was still the school record for most points scored in a single game until recently, Jacob Naylor surpassed that score by scoring 48. David Britt RHS Class of 1988, was a two-time All-State lineman for Coach Ken Barrett's Panthers. He signed with the Naval Academy and just completed a distinguished military career. Nakia Daniel RHS Class of 2010, was a member of the Lady Panther basketball team for 7 years. She scored 1810 points, and her 315 3-point shots made remain the school record. The induction ceremonies were held between the girls and boys games of the Mullen-Maguire Cat Classic. It's a great time to be a PANTHER!
