Russellville Arts Council Summer Music Camps Info, 5/8/19

There will be signups Tuesday, May 14, and Thursday May, 16, at Russellville High School for this year’s Russellville Arts Council Summer Dance camp for students from 2^nd grade through 5^th...starting at 6:00 PM for two Summer Drama Camps.  "101 Dalmatians" will be the theme for students from 2nd through 5th grades for the Summer Dance Camp, June 3 - 7.  This is an excellent entry level dramatic camp which will get everyone up and moving and involved in the telling the classic Disney tale of a family of Dalmatians set in England.  The camp will be each day from 12:30 - 3:30pm with a public performance at the closing Friday to enjoy.  "OKLAHOMA" will be this year's Summer Youth Drama involving students from sixth through graduating seniors.  This pivotal musical based around the historical expansion of America, features many award-winning songs and lively action that will delight the whole family.   Auditions will also be on the 14th and 16th with some rehearsals in preparation for the full-camp experience on June 24-28, (rehearsals from 8:30 to 3:00 daily) with three performances on Friday and Saturday scheduled.  Both camps have a modest fee of $25 to cover the cost of a T-shirt, two fee tickets, and music.  For more information, see the Russellville Arts Council on Facebook or SOKY Magazine.
