Weekly Update, April 27th, 2015

Good Sunday afternoon to all!!

The 2015 RHS Prom was held last night at the Historic Train Depot in Bowling Green.  This year’s prom theme was “The Roaring Twenties” and the depot provided a naturally beautiful location for this special evening.  A special thanks to Senior Coordinator, Mrs. Lauren Fynboe, for the work and efforts she put into to making this a special event for our students.  We would also like to thank Mrs. Ashley McGinnis, Ms. Baker and Ms. Dyson for helping ensure our students had this experience.  Congratulations to our Prom King and Queen, Mr. Dakota Battcher and Ms. Breann Thomas, as they were chosen by our students for this honor.  A wonderful, fun night was had by our students and we have already started thinking about next year’s event!!

We have recently added more Seniors to our College and Career Readiness list for this school!  Congratulations to the following students for achieving this honor:

·         Connor Clark

·         Hannah Boisseau

·         Yasmine Moore

·         Eduardo Rodriguez

·         Mykah Wilkerson

We have also surpassed our CCR rate for last year and we continue to provide opportunities for our students to be recognized with this achievement.

Our FCCLA students attended their regional meeting this past week at WKU.  Mrs. McGinnis continues to work with this group of students who have demonstrated leadership within the scope of this program.
