Good Monday afternoon to everyone! I hope you have had an enjoyable holiday weekend with friends and family. 

 

As we begin a new month, I would like to share our character word for the September:  Diligence: focusing my energy on the work at hand
We will have different activities centered our character word throughout the month and our teachers will be on the lookout for those students who demonstrate diligence consistently as they will be considered for our September Student of the Month nominations.  Speaking of students of the month, please join me in congratulating the following students for being chosen as August Students of the Month by their grade level teams:

I also want to commend all of our students and staff members for their participation in the ALS Ice-Bucket Challenge that we had last Friday.  Our students and staff members raised over $1,000 to support a cure for this disease.  A special thanks to Ms. Jessie Baker for organizing and to the staff members who graciously agreed to participate in this event.

 

Congratulations to our Panther Football team on back to back victories with a win at Fort Campbell Friday night! We hope to keep the win streak going this week.

 

Good luck to the RHS Marching Panther Band as they begin their competition season this Saturday at Franklin-Simpson.  They will host the Show of Bands next week at Rhea Stadium!
