Weekly Updates March 3rd

Good Sunday evening to all!
I hope the brunt of this storm somehow manages to miss our area but if not, I also hope everyone is in a dry, warm place for the night!

Congratulations to Coach Phil Todd and the Panther Basketball
team on impressive wins during the past week and on securing the 13th
District Championship title three years running! The Panthers will advance to the regional
tournament to play Monroe County in the first round on Thursday night. The regional tournament will be held this year at Barren County High School in Glasgow.

We also learned on Friday that the top 12 archery shooters
from the regional tournament will advance on to the state archery tournament in
Louisville later this month. In addition
to Brian and Chelsea Clinard, who received automatic invitations, more of their
team mates will be able to join them as they represent our school during this
event. Good Luck to all!

The statewide ACT exam is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4th. Our plan is to transport all juniors to an off-site location for their exam. We
will provide breakfast and lunch to students before they return back to school
during the afternoon. Our plan is to give the Sophomores a practice ACT during this timeframe, as well, so that they can begin taking full advantage of the TCA program we purchased for our students.

We had several middle school band students performing this
past weekend in solos and ensembles. I will share more specific information about individual students and their accomplishments next week.

Upcoming events:

Thanks,

Kim McDaniel
