Fourth Graders from Stevenson Elementary School and all the area schools
traveled to the Logan County Extension Office to participate in the annual
Progressive Agriculture Safety Day on Thursday, Sept. 20! The students excitedly
tracked from station-to-station for demonstrations of the best safety
procedures regarding each subject. The safety stations consisted of Fire
Safety, Tractor Safety, Mower/ATV Safety, Nutrition/Physical Activity, Gun Safety,
Chemical Safety, Hearing Safety, Water Safety, 911/First Aid, and Electrical
Safety. SES 4th grade teachers are Ms. Drew Norwood, Mr.
Bryan Rush, and Ms. Kaitlin Yowell. Mrs. Carol Kees, SES Family Resource Youth
Services Coordinator, Mrs. Ashley Staggs, SES Guidance Counselor, parents,
grandparents, and volunteers assisted as well. Thanks are extended to Ms. Carrie Derossett, the 4-H Youth Development Agent, the Extension Office staff, and so many within our community as they provided this great event for all our students.
