Russellville READ's & District Literacy Team host author, Eric Litwin, 2/25-26/20!

 
Russellville READ's and our District Literacy Team is so proud to have brought author, Eric Litwin, to Russellville Independent Schools.   Eric Litwin is a song singing, guitar strumming, # 1 New York Times Best Selling author who brings early literacy and music together.  He is the original author of the Pete the Cat series as well as the author of The Nuts and Groovy Joe.  Eric's books have sold over 12.5 million copies, been translated into 17 languages, and won 26 literacy awards including a Theodor Geisel Seuss Honor Award.   Performances were held at the Logan County Extension Office, on Tuesday, Feb. 25, with show times of 9:45-10:30; 11:00-11:45; and 12:15-1:00, then again on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 9:00-9:45; 10:15-11:00; and 12:15-1:00.  Autographed books were given to each student in the Pre-K through 2nd grade.  Invitations were issued to Logan County Elementary Schools for them to join on Wednesday, Feb. 26, and Chandler’s, Adairville, Auburn, and Lewisburg each brought their kindergarten and first grade classes.  Sara Jennings, RIS District Instructional Facilitator, stated, “Read a lot, Love what you read!” @ericlitwinbooks thank you for sharing a love of reading with @rvkschools @rvkstevenson students and adult team members!
