For the first time in over a decade, on Tuesday, Feb. 5-7, Senior, Laura Mullen, traveled to Louisville to participate in the Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA) All-State Choir. With an almost perfect score of 99.7, she was the top Soprano in the 3rd District and was accepted into the SSAA (Women’s) choir. She rehearsed for three days with the top choral singers in the state and performed on the 7th of February. Laura remarked on this event by expressing, “This has been the most enjoyable and enriching experience I have ever been a part
of. I have loved every second of it, and I learned so much in every single
rehearsal. I hope that other members of the Russellville High School Choir will
audition next year to have the chance of being in something as incredible as
this." This was a great accomplishment and will help Miss Mullen in the
future as she works towards a vocal music education degree at Murray State University.
