On Wednesday, Feb. 5, Mrs. Mindy Key, Outreach Coordinator, reported that Russellville READs celebrated the 10th Annual World Read Aloud Day! Students and teachers from around our District as well as our community, partnered together to promote “World Read Aloud Day 2020”. Some of the guest readers were as follows: Nita Collins, Guiding Light Preschool, read Max The Brave, by
Ed Vere; Cynthia Duncan, Stevenson Elementary teacher, read My Pillow Keeps Moving, by Laura Gehl; Laura Thompson, RMS District STEAM
Coordinator, came to the Russellville Preschool Academy and read Frogs On A
Log, by Kes Gray & Jim Field; and Sherry Bouldin, District
Librarian, read Pete the Cat, The Pete's Go Marching, by Eric Litwin. Mrs. Key said, "We
had a blast in the community as well as at Stevenson Elementary celebrating W.R.A.D.
The students enjoy hearing their teachers read such fun stories, and they
enjoyed sharing time together around a great storybook."
