Good morning! We are very excited as we begin the 2018-19
school year at Russellville Independent Schools! Thank you for your
patience this morning as we worked through our new traffic flow at Stevenson
Elementary and Russellville Preschool Academy. We realize that the
traffic was difficult the first day, however, we believe it will smooth out as
the days go on. As a reminder, the morning drop off for
car riders will occur at the SAFE ZONE (the yellow lines in
front of SES and RPA). The bus riders will be dropped
off in the back at the gym in the morning. In the afternoon,
car riders will be picked up at the gym at the back of SES as it has been in
the past. Finally, ALL SES traffic will ENTER
AND EXIT at the entrance near the R.E. Stevenson marque. To
help make this an easier transition, it will be helpful if the traffic flow
into SES comes from the town side (turning directly right into the entrance,
rather than coming from the by-pass to avoid any traffic turning left into the
entrance). Please note: If you are walking your child
into the school these first few days, you will be instructed to drive through
the SAFE ZONE and park in the grass area. Again, thank you for your
patience and please understand that your student’s safety is our
priority.
