Connie Southerland selected 2017-18, Rotary Teacher of the Year!
Congratulations to Connie Southerland for being selected as the 2017-18, Rotary Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Southerland currently teaches Kindergarten at Stevenson Elementary, and this is her 30th
year! She is the daughter of Bobby and
Joyce Boissear and Joe Covelli. She is a
Russellville High School graduate and received her education from Western
Kentucky University. She is married to
Mike Southerland and has a daughter, Stephanie Cole; son-in-law, Dedric Cole; a
son, Stephen Southerland; and daughter-in-law, Melissa Southerland. She has 5 grandchildren and will be welcoming
twin girls due May 26. She has been previously
honored with the Chamber of Commerce Teaching Award. When asked what she considers to be her
successes, she stated having a positive attitude, the ability to build
relationships, and having high expectations.
She will be recognized at a luncheon to be held May
10. Stevenson Elementary is
fortunate to have Mrs. Southerland on their team! Congratulations again! We R Proud!
