The Stevenson Singers, led by Mrs. Elaine Blythe, performed the patriotic songs "Red, White and Blue" and "On Veterans Day" at a school-wide assembly recognizing Veterans Day in mid-November. Special guest Mr. Brian Brown of Russellville High School gave a reverent performance of “Taps” on his trumpet, and then students were shown a short video melody of the songs from the different branches of the military. Students also read information about the history of Veterans Day. Several veterans joined the students for this special event, which was planned by Mrs. Blythe, along with Mrs. Michelle Hindman, Mrs. Nicole Pedigo, and other members of the SES “Culture and Climate Committee”.
