The Gerald Printing September Athlete of the Month Recipients

Russellville Junior/Senior High School would like to present our Gerald Printing September Athletes of the Month (Sponsored by Shane Hayes and Gerald Printing). Congratulations!

RMS:  Male - Jonathan Zamarippa. Jonathan is one of the more experienced players on a very young team and gives us a very stable presence in the field. He rarely makes mistakes and always tries his hardest. (Comments from Soccer Coach, Jonathan White)

Female - Addie Mosier. Addie is a first-year cheerleader with great team spirit. She is always the first one to pitch in to help in any situation. She shows great leadership and is very respectful. Addie also is outstanding in her academics. She plays softball for RMS lady Panthers, cheers, and still has time for grades, family, and friends. She is an all-around GREAT athlete. (Comments from Cheer Sponsors, Leslie Coffman and Beverly York)

RHS:  Male - Nelson Suiter. We have a very young and inexperienced team, but Nelson is our lone-returning golfer. Nelson has stepped up this year and taken on a leadership role. Before, during, and after practice, he does a good job working with and teaching his younger team members the game of golf. Nelson finished the golf season with his best round of the season on Tuesday against Todd County. He shot a 49. (Comments from Golf Coach, Nathan Thompson)

Female - Elly Myers. Elly has a wonderful attitude. She always goes above and beyond what is asked of her and always encourages her teammates. She also performs extremely well in the classroom. Elly exhibits the perfect characteristics of what a student athlete should be. (Comments from Cheer Sponsors, Kia Santiago and Heather Rickman).

Overall Athlete (Chosen by the AD): Halle York. Halle is a 3-year-veteran cheerleader leading a group of extremely young girls this year at RMS. She is the prime example of a leader that they all look up to. Halle is on many teams: RMS cheer, RMS softball, RHS cheer and 2 All-Star teams. She still maintains a 4.0 GPA and is currently taking 2 college classes. She always has a smile and she is a great leader. (Comments from Athletic Director, Calvin Head.
