Little Panther Academy begins, 9/22/17Russellville Independent Schools held its first “Little Panther Academy” for the 2017-18, school year at the Logan County Public Library on Friday, Sept, 22, from 10:00—11:30 am.  Preschool Director, Linda Shelton, shared she was very pleased with the attendance of the children and families.  There were 30 people total with 13 children.  The children enjoyed planned activities that included: musikgarten, storytelling, make-it & take-it activities, and crafts.  The purpose for the “Little Panther Academy” is to teach parents to become “teachers” of their children, provide families with resources and information to help their children become “School Ready”, and to learn some of the necessary developmental skills children need in order to be successful.  Each child was presented a book bag with supplies, a new book, and game to take home!  Future Dates will be Fridays: Oct. 27; Nov. 17; Dec. 15; Jan. 26, 2018; Feb. 23; March 23; April 27; May 25; Summer Sessions: June & July, 2018, Date, Time, & Location TBD.  Registration is open to parents of children, birth to 3 years old.   For more information contact: Linda Shelton at 270-726-8405, or [email protected].
