On Friday, Dec. 6, in the deGraffenried Auditorium, Russellville Middle and High School Jazz Band and Choral Departments presented their Christmas Concert under the Direction of Trevor Cardwell. The RMS Choir, accompanied by Tera Ragland, began the program with three selections: “Beat It”, by Michael Jackson; “How Far I’ll Go”, from Moana; and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”. The newly formed RMS Bucket Drummers were up next with a rendition of “Yuck”, by Skye “Coach K” Quinman, arrangement by Trevor Cardwell. The RHS Choir, accompanied by Mary Beth Dowden, shared three selections: “Carol of The Bells”, by Mykola Leontovych; “Little Drummer Boy”, by Katherine Kennicott Davis; and “Rise Up Shepherd, Behold That Star”. The evening concluded with the RHS Jazz Band, accompanied by Larry Vaught, as they performed four selections: “St. Louis Blues”, by W.C. Handy; “Let It Be”, by John Lennon & Paul McCartney; “Charlie Brown Christmas”, by Vince Guaraldi; and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”, by Mariah Carey & Walter Afanasieff. RMS Choir students involved were: Alex Arnold, Adreonna Clayton, Landry Hankins, Noah Harris, Marlie Mason, Jae’da Poindexter, Edwin Cabrera-Aldana, Trystanne Hickman, Addie Kondracki, Lluriana Ortiz-Diaz; Chloe Penrod, Maya Rangel, Everzon Teletor-Alba, Gracie Bailey, Kiana Blakemore, Madicyn Faith, Riley Hatfield, Madalyn Qualls, Dylan Tanner, and Kylee Williams. RMS Bucket Drumming Class members were: Hector Aldana, Megan Beachy, Luis Cancino-Zurita, Hannah Cheaney, Justin Duncan, Donnie Grimes, Jasmine Kennedy, Anael Pedraza, Richard Perez, Adriana Roblero, Zachary Stafford, Michael Vick, Timmy Webster, Cyril Woods, Ayana Castro, Meredith Chapman, Mary Cheaney, J’Kari Clayton, Caleb Hampton, Crissy Higgins, Brianna Jackson, Holden Kennedy, Jermani Morris, Leeona Pearson, Madison Penrod, Robin Tran, Eden West, and Eric Zamarripa. The RHS Choir members were: Zyairia Amos, Jordan Cothern, Tristan Erby, Brendan Farlee, Daysierre Gordon, Emma-Grace Gwynette, Kenyon Kerr, Laura Mullen, May Ouansambath, John Matthew Parrish, Isadora Perez, Colin Siletchnik, and Jennifer Wilkerson. RHS Jazz Band members were: Graciann Beard, Alezander Bilbrey, Rilee Boisseau, Noah Brown, Amariah Christie, Cecily Christie, Bryant Garcia, Taylor Gwynette, Kaleigh Hughes, Josh Proctor, and MyDuyen Tran. Parents, students, staff, and community members seemed to truly enjoy the evening.
