On Friday, Aug. 17, Russellville Jr/Sr High School kicked off the start of a new year with a celebratory Pep Rally. Middle School Assistant Principal, Coach Quarles, welcomed students and recognized all sports players. The Cheer Team took over and performed an exemplary routine which was followed by an appearance from the Russellville High School Football Team. Edward Barber wowed the students with his signature “backflip” entrance while the players were cheered on for their game to be played later that evening at Glasgow. High school cheerleader, Halle York, conducted the spirit stick competition in which the Seniors “won by a hair” over the enthusiastic 6th Graders. The cheerleaders concluded the rally with a performance of the traditional fight song. This Pep Rally set the tone for what we hope to be a great year for the Russellville Panthers!
