Linton-Wren Kickoff Classic, 1st home game win, 8/31/18!
The Russellville High School Football Team held the 3rd Annual "Buddy" Linton - Howard Wren Kickoff Classic at Rhea Stadium on Friday, Aug. 31. Every year, the Panther community comes together to honor two of the finest gentleman to ever wear the "Black and Gold". Both Coach Linton and Coach Wren spent most of their lives influencing the youth of our community in a positive way and continued their great work well past their coaching days. A celebratory moment was held pre-game before a great crowd as Pratts Auto representative, Senior, Dawson McGhee, handed the ball to new Head Coach, Mikie Benton. At half-time, the Russellville Marching Band gave a great performance. Then, to top the night off, Coach Benton, experienced his 1st Home Win as the Panthers beat Butler County, 17-13!! We are Panther Proud!!
