Archery preparing for STATE!

Russellville Independent Schools’ Archery teams are State Bound!  The Elementary, Middle and High School teams will be traveling to the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville for the State Archery Competition on March 15 & 16.  The Stevenson Elementary team will shoot 3-D, along with the following Stevenson individuals that will shoot Bullseye:  Ethan O'Neal, Tayshon Cross, and Jakeria Burkina.  The Middle school and High School teams will shoot both 3-D and Bullseye as a team.  Since Archery Coach, Jeremy Rust, has been with the school, this is the fourth time in the last five years that Russellville has been to State as a team.  Coach Rust said, “I’m extremely proud of the team this year.  The dedication to be a better archer and students has shown, and now they get to prove it at State.”  Senior Archer and Team Captain, Ethan Paul, says, “I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this team.  Our team has put in the time, now it’s time to make our mark at State!”  The Archers will be shooting to qualify for the National Competition which will be held in May.  The team has worked hard this season competing in over 14 competitions.  Archery team members are:  Elementary Team - Jakeria Burkins, Tayshon Cross, Jesse Daniels, Evan Edge, and Ethan O'Neal; Middle School and High School Teams - Mandee Appling, Grayson Beard, Sharaya Booze, Rainbow Browning, Nariah Brown, Destiny Daniels, Samuel Edge, Karlee Elrod, Jacob Farwick, Bryant Garcia, Carolina Gwynette, Emma Gwynette, Taylor Gwynette, Riley Hatfield, Daisie Holder, Tori Holder, Elias Hughes, Malley Jayne, Brett Kinser, Hunter McDowell, Ariana Nickell, John Matthew Parrish, Ethan Paul, Abryian Rodriguez, Jackson Rust, Abby Saunders, Colin Siletchnik, Jayce Sparks, Jaimie Wells, and Jennifer Wilkerson.  Congratulations, Archers!
