On Friday, March 22, the Russellville High School Book Club traveled to Clarksville, TN, where they watched the movie adaptation of the book of the month. “Five Feet Apart” was a story about teenage Cystic Fibrosis patients trying to navigate through the world of loss, pain, and love. The theatre was full of sobbing, covering of faces, and shrieking. The students loved being able to spot the similarities and differences between the book and adaptation. A total of 33 attended, and 27 were students. Chaperones were Ryan Fynboe, Tim Nugent, Penni Nugent, and bus driver, Jana Hardin. The Book Club members appreciate Club Sponsors, Lauren Fynboe and Jesse Nugent, for providing this opportunity and traveling with them for a night of crying and heartbreak, yet lots of fun together.
