The Stevenson Elementary Family Resource Center sponsored a field trip for third grade students to visit the Logan County Career and Technical Center on Friday, Oct. 5. Each group was greeted by Principal, Beth Frogue, and then divided into groups to tour the building and learn from the LCCTC Instructors. While there, they learned about the Allied Health, Automotive Technology, Business, Computer Aided Drafting, Electrical/Industrial Maintenance Technology, Information Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Pre-nursing, and Welding Technology programs provided at LCCTC. Each Instructor took time to explain the tools needed in their classrooms, the machines, equipment, and other items used for specific purposes, and then fielded questions from the very inquisitive students. Thanks to Mrs. Carol Kees, FRYSC Coordinator, for providing these students significant exposure to the possibility of their prospective future careers.
