Perfect Attendance Awards

Panther Warriors.  These are two words that represent the staff and teachers at Russellville Independent Schools.  Since the start of school, ten employees have kept a perfect attendance.  The following employees were:  Christina Scarbrough, Eunice Arevalo, Holly Behm, Jesse Nugent, Kaitlin Maiden, Lisa Meacham, Mary Celsor, Nicholas Willis, Tera Ragland, and Tyler Arterburn.  Through flu outbreaks, ever-changing weather, and more, these ten individuals have showed up every day even when they may have not wanted.  Who wouldn’t take the chance to have a break every now and then?  These ten individuals haven't!  Superintendent, Bart Flener, took notice of this and created a bi-semester reward for teachers and staff who can accomplish such things.  The ten names were written on slips of paper and drawn out of a raffle.  The winner was given a $250 reward!  The first recipient was Eunice Arevalo, and the second was Lisa Meacham!  Congratulations to both!  Russellville Independent School appreciates these individuals and everything they sacrifice to serve the district.  Mr. Flener stated this is one of the 5 strands Russellville Board of Education has devoted to sustaining a talented, happy, and committed workforce.  This fits nicely with our Panther Power trait of Persistence. This first contest, employees qualified by 100 percent attendance, but the second contest will commence Feb. 1, and go through the last student day of this school year.  “We know that things happen in life that cause us to be away from work at times, but we do want to honor these folks who have achieved this special status to this point during the 18-19 school year.  We want to encourage our adult team members to strive to make the finals in the ‘second semester’ contest”, said Superintendent, Bart Flener.
