Recognitions held at SES for 5th Grade and at RJSHS for 8th Grade

This last week of school, we have experienced some special moments of recognition and promotion:

On Wednesday afternoon, May 27, 2015, Stevenson Elementary honored their 5th Graders with a ceremony consisting of the Processional, an Invocation by Taylor Gwynette, the SEAL Music Students leading us in the “Star Spangled Banner”, the Band performing 4 great selections, Guest Speaker of Dr. Dawson, presentations of the Related Arts Awards, SEAL Recognition, Content Area Awards, Principal’s List, Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, Citizenship Awards, the 1st Stevenson Elementary Kendall-Ray Award, and then the Promotion Certificates. Closing Remarks were issued by Mrs. Robin Cornelius and refreshments were served just as the storm hit, and the lights went out for the rest of the afternoon. It will be a memorable day in multiple ways!

In the deGraffenried Auditorium on Thursday evening, May 28, 2015, Russellville Junior/Senior High School held their 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony consisting of the Processional, the welcome and introduction of the staff by Mrs. Kim McDaniel, presentation of Citizenship Awards, Student of the Year Awards, Presidential Awards of Achievement, Presidential Awards of Excellence, Perfect Attendance Awards, RJSHS Ambassador Awards, and then the Presentation of Certificates. Mrs. Tracy Naylor shared a very tender reading of the book, If I could hold you longer, by Karen Kingsbury, and then the Student Video was shown featuring many of the students' baby pictures alongside their current pictures. This was another memorable event.

Congratulations to all our students!
