In observance of National Teacher Appreciation Week, Russellville Independent School Superintendent, Leon Smith, took matters one step further as he arranged for the Teachers and Staff of both SES and RJSHS to be honored with a luncheon catered and served by Russellville’s Colonial Inn Restaurant. Stevenson Teachers and Staff were treated to their delicious meal on Thursday, May 07, and Russellville Junior/Senior High School Teachers and Staff were treated on Friday, May 8. Mr. Smith stated, “We are blessed to have a wonderful staff and wish we could do so much more for them”. Also, on Thursday, Mr. Smith hosted GRREC officials and arranged for them and the Central Office staff to be honored with a delicious spread created by Patsy Hendrick. Webster’s definition of gratitude is “the state of being grateful : thankfulness”. Expressions of gratitude are always appreciated and this week, Mr. Smith very befittingly expressed this definition toward each of his Teachers and Staff.
