Good Sunday afternoon to everyone!
Congratulations to our football team, including Coach Myers and his staff, on another Clash of the Cats victory Friday night! This team continues to impress us on a weekly basis and we can’t wait to meet up with Mayfield in October and prepare for the playoffs!
We also want to recognize our RHS Marching Panther Band this week as they held their annual Show of Bands on Saturday evening at Rhea Stadium. In addition to the competitions that took place between visiting bands, the many Seniors and their parents were recognized during this event, as well. Few people understand and realize the dedication and work that these students, parents and staff members put in daily to ensure that we have a successful band program each year. You won’t find a more dedicated group of individuals! Thanks to all of you for your efforts. The Panther band will be in action again this Saturday at the Logan County Competition.
Our high school academic team will also begin their season this week with a trip to Madisonville on Monday afternoon! The new academic coach this year is Jennifer Rogers. The team is also being assisted and supported by Mrs. Donna Willkerson. We greatly appreciate both of these ladies for the service to our academic team and we want to wish them the best of luck during this competition season!
