Optimists Club to Host Tri-Star Basketball Clinic and Contest at RHS

There will be a Tri-Star Basketball Clinic and Contest (pass, dribble, and shoot) at RHS on Saturday, January 3, 2015. The clinic is free and is open to children aged 8 to 13. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Children will compete in age and gender groups; they will be taught sportsmanship, healthy living, and more. Awards will be given to each group winner, with winners advancing to the district clinic later in the winter. Several special coaches will be helping with the clinic, including former RHS Athletic Director Nathan Thompson (others TBA). The clinic is presented by the Russellville-Logan County Optimists Club in partnership with the Faith and Family Coalition and Community Education.
