The first full week back-to-school at Russellville High School, was to once again introduce C2G. C2G simply stands for "Commit to Graduate. Each student is asked to make a verbal and signed commitment to graduate. Our school vision is that all of our students graduate “college and/or career ready”, and we strive to ensure that all of our decisions and actions reflect this goal/vision. Each day will be devoted to a grade level. On Tuesday, August 9, 2016, the senior class of 2017, were asked to physically walk forward, shake either Mr. Blake’s or Mrs. McDaniel’s hand, and sign a “white” graduation robe as part of their commitment to graduate. Soon they will be voting on the faculty member upon which they want to bestow the honor of wearing this “white-signed” robe during their graduation ceremony. The Junior class met Wednesday, 8/10/16, and asked to make the same commitments. They were presented a C2G tassel, representing "The Tassel is Worth the Hassel". On Thursday, 8/11/16, the Sophomore class gathered together for their commitments, and they received a C2G lanyard. Friday, 8/12/16, the Freshmen Class stated their commitments, received a C2G bracelet, and signed their Class banner.
