2016-2017 Leadership Logan begins

The Logan County Chamber of Commerce has begun the 2016-2017, Youth Leadership Logan which includes local students from the10th grade.  This Youth Leadership Logan Program is a program developed by the Logan County Chamber of Commerce that offers a vast array of community insight for individuals who desire to play a significant role in the development, growth, and activity of our county youth.  In order to create community activism and involvement among the youth of the county, 7 students from Logan County and 7 Russellville High School Sophomore Students were invited to participate in the Youth Leadership Logan Program.  The program is designed to mirror the Adult Leadership Logan Program which consists of members of the community and our own RJHS Senior, Tara Gilbert, who participates and represents our school. These students must demonstrate leadership in school, community and/or church activities, express an interest in furthering their knowledge of the Logan County area, commit to attendance to all sessions, and must have parental approval to participate.  This is an excellent opportunity for our students and will be great for their resumes, college applications, GSP, etc. This year’s seven selected participants from Russellville Junior/Senior High School for the Youth Leadership Logan include the following:  Maleah Buckner, Katie Holloman, Elly Myers, Jacob Naylor, Ethan Paul, Anna Shoulders, and Shawn Steele.
