Safety Day held at Logan County Extention Office, 9/13/16

Stevenson Elementary School and all area school 4th Graders celebrated a special event this week as they traveled to the Logan County Extension Office to participate in the annual Logan County Progressive Ag Safety Day on Tuesday, September 13! The students excitedly tracked from station-to-station for illustrations of the best safety procedures regarding each subject. The stations consisted of Electrical, Fire Extinguisher, Tractor/Mower/ATV, Bicycle, Food, Water, Sun, BUD/Flooding, Animal, and Police. SES 4th grade teachers are Haley Carmen, Cassie Reding, and Kaitlin Yowell. Raye Bartlett, SES Guidance Counselor, Carol Kees, SES Family Resource Coordinator, parents, grandparents, and volunteers assisted as well. Under the direction of Tanya Mullen, RJSHS Beta Club members that assisted by volunteering their services were: Hunter Armistead, Javier Canales, Cameron Cardwell, Brock Cleary, Austin Coursey, Ashlee Gilbert, Skyler Hale, Tajada Hampton, Madison Hyams, Emma McReynolds, Madison Morrow, Laura Mullen, Will Mullen, Elly Myers, Katie Paul, Carleigh Phillips, Ashley Pitts, Dillon Porter, Brroklynn Ray, Fernanda Rodriguez, Rian Saul, Ben Slack, Caitlyn Smith, Luci Suiter, Dilishia Thomas, My Duyen Tran, Kristin Vanzant, and Brandy West. Gary Michael Templeman was on-hand once again this year as he assisted Carrie Derossett, the new 4-H Youth Development Agent. It took many to accomplish this great event and SES is grateful for all who shared their talents and time.
