Weekly Update, December 12th, 2016

Good Sunday afternoon to all! It has been a full, busy week at Russellville Jr/Sr High School!!

 

Congratulations to our Panther and Lady Panther Basketball teams on picking up district wins Friday night against Todd Co.  Both teams will be in action tomorrow and Tuesday at home—come out and support our programs this week!  We have basketball season passes available for $40!  Please see Coach Head if you are interested!!

 

The Russellville Archery Team was super busy this weekend as they participated in three different tournaments at Bowling Green, Olmstead and Todd County.  Thanks to Coach Rust for providing the following results/information:

Bowling Green High Tournament

--Elementary students continued to improve upon their scores.

--Middle school students raised their state qualifier score by 400 points!

--High school students raised their state qualifier score by 60 points!

 

Olmstead

--Daisie Holder (5th grade)—5th Place

--Jennifer Wilkerson (7th grade)—3rd Place

--Rainbow Browning (7th grade)—5th Place

--Taylor Gwynette (7th grade)—5th Place

--Kaleb Coursey (High School)—2nd Place

Our RHS Academic Team traveled a few weeks ago to compete in a Pennyrile League match in Daviess County.  Coach Jennifer Rogers has reported the following results:

Our Panther swimmers were in action yesterday, as well.  Coach Toni Hall reports that all of the swim team members who participated yesterday had their personal best times and she is impressed with their efforts and dedication to the team.  Below you will find more results from yesterday’s Warren County Invitational:

Are you having trouble getting into the holiday spirit this year?  Struggling to find some Christmas joy?  Come on out to our Christmas Concert and Program on Tuesday night and allow the beautiful sounds of traditional holiday songs get you into the holiday mood this year!! The band concert will begin at 7:00 PM!  Let’s fill the auditorium and show our support to these hardworking band students!!

 

For those of you who have RSVP’d, please remember that our Holiday Dinner will be hosted by the RJSHS Cafeteria this Wednesday during your child’s scheduled lunch time.  Please come to the front entrance/lobby of the high school where you will be greeted and seated by members of our Panther Catering program and culinary classes (courtesy of Mrs. Ashley Mcginnis)!!
