Good Sunday afternoon everyone! It is hard to believe but we have made it to
the last Weekly Update of this school year!
Please remember that students will not attend school on
Tuesday due to the elections. We have Monday, Wednesday and Thursday remaining for student days. Staff members will report on the 20th, however, to help fulfill their annual days.
As we near the close of this year, I am happy to report that
our students have made some great gains this year in their overall academic
success. Our college and career readiness rate has increased for our seniors and the juniors have improved our overall ACT composite average. We have
also seen much improvement with our end of course exam scores, as well. We have asked a great deal of our students and teachers these past few months and both groups have risen to those expectations and shown marked growth in student achievement.
We couldn’t be more proud of our school community.
We have one more EOC to administer—the Biology EOC will be
given tomorrow and that we bring our testing windows to a close.

· Senior Graduation Practice—8:30—Seniors will be released from school after practice as long as they have their paperwork completed.
· 8th Grade Ceremony Practice—10:00
Parents wishing to pick up students after lunch may do so. Students will be
required to sign-out with parent. If a
student drives, he or she will be permitted to check out with a parental
note. Students who do not drive, will not be permitted to check out early with other students driving. Those students must be released to
parents. Busses will run in the afternoon
at normal dismissal times, as well.
Friday
· 8th Grade Ceremony—6:00 in the RHS
Auditorium—There will be a dance immediately afterwards for 8th
grade students only in the high school lobby.
Dance will conclude at 10:00.
Saturday
· RHS Senior Commencement Services—10:00 at Jim
Young Gymnasium. Seniors are asked to be
at school by 9:00 for pictures and preparation.
Wishing everyone a great summer break!! We look forward to
planning the beginning of our next school year and seeing everyone at our open
house event on July 31st. If
we can be of service to you during the summer, please contact the front office
between 8:00 and 3:00. The Russellville
Jr./Sr. High School Campus will be closed completely from June 23rd-July
9th in observance of the KHSAA official “dead period”.
