Weekly Update March 10th, 2014

Good sunny Sunday afternoon to all! I hope everyone is able to get outdoors and
enjoy this beautiful weather today!!

The RHS Panther Basketball season came to an end last night with a loss to Monroe Co.
in the opening round of the regional tournament. I just want to thank Coach
Todd
, his staff and our students on a well-played season. To our
seniors, Barrett Croslin and Christian Naylor, thank you for the
dedication you have given to this team throughout the years. We wish you
the best in your future endeavors!!

RHS DECA

We have several high school students traveling to Louisville today to represent RHS at the state DECA convention. Good luck to sponsor, Mrs. Paulette

RMS/RHS Band

42 students from RHS and RMS participated in the Solo & Ensemble Festival in
Bowling Green.

The following students received a Proficient and/or a Distinguished rating.

Hughes, Madison Hyams, LeeLee McCarley, Jocelynn Morris, Laura Mullen, Jackson
Rust, Allison Tatum, Brandy West & Kodie Wilson.

7th Grade: Aishah Dowlen, Jaron Head, Elijah Kemp, Ethan Paul, Keyara Rose,
Aniyah Thomas, Kyran Williams, Miguel Williams & Jessie Wilson.

Long, Emma McReynolds, Will Mullen, Katie Paul, Dillon Porter & Lucy
Wilkinson.

Congratulations to director, Mr. Brian Brown, and these students on receiving this
ratings and awards!!

RMS Jr. BETA Club

We received notification this past week that the following middle school students
have been invitied to represent our school at the National Jr. Beta Convention
this summer. This students will be eligible to attend the event which
will be held in Richmond, Virgina in June.

ACT Testing

Due to last week’s winter storm and our missed days, the statewide
ACT date for all juniors has been changed to March 18th. There
will also be a scheduled makeup day on April 15th for students who
need that day. We will transport our students to an off-site location on
the morning of the 18th. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon
activity will be provided to those students.
