It was back to school for students at Stevenson Elementary School today. There was a lot of excitement in the air as new students, returning students, and parents made their way through the building and into classrooms. Students enjoyed a grab n’ go breakfast while teachers made announcements and put away supplies. Mid-morning, students went to the gym for a school-wide assembly that covered introduction of teachers, a video about restroom expectations (staring SES teachers), and a short discussion of the reasons that SES strives to be a Bully-Free School.
After lunch, the students went outside to practice dismissal procedures. After a successful dismissal practice, students received popsicles and returned to their classrooms. Tomorrow, there will be another assembly to discuss procedures pertaining to the new animals at SES.
