Congratulations to the Russellville High School Academic Team on a successful first meet of the season against Edmonson County and Christian County. Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity Teams won their quick-recall matches against Christian County, and the Varsity Team narrowly lost to Edmonson County in overtime. Students achieving top ten status include: Phillip Wilkerson (#1 in JV science); Anna Shoulders (#7 in JV science); Will Mullen (#9 in JV arts & humanities); Bryce Bollenbecker (#9 in JV language arts); and Kendra Farlee (#8 in varsity language arts). These students
placed in the top ten in league standings which takes into
consideration not only the results of the local meet, but scores from
all 15 schools that make up the Pennyrile Academic Association. Congratulations again! You make us proud! We foresee a profitable season of play and growth!
