RHS Sr. Beta - 2nd Place, 11/04/17

 On Friday, Nov. 3, Russellville High School Sr. Beta students participated in the 3rd District Competition at Bowling Green. The RHS Beta Club Team placed 2^nd overall against 14 other schools in a variety of competitions in Academics, Music Performance, Art, and Craft.  Not only did the Panthers take 2nd place overall, they had numerous individual top finishes. The students that excelled are: Quiz Bowl - 1st Place:  Adam Williams, Ben Slack, Austin Coursey, and Matthew Wilkerson; Name Tags - 1st Place:  Luci Suiter, Skyler Hale, Madison Morrow, Ti'Jara Hunt, and Carleigh Phillips; Science Division I - 1st Place:  Rob Skipworth; Humanities Division II - 2nd Place:  Will Mullen; History Division I - 3^rd Place:  Chris Williams; Group Talent – 3rd Place:  Katie Holloman and Laura Mullen; Color Photography - 1st Place:  Laura Mullen; Original  Character Design - 1st Place:  Fernanda Rodriguez; AutoCAD - 1st Place:  Nathan Cates; Advertising Design - 1^st Place:  Maleah Buckner; Embroidery - 1^st Place:  MyDuyen Tran; Ornament - 1st Place: Brandy West; Sewing - 1st Place:  Rian Saul; Fabric Painting - 1st Place: Diedre Hester; Wood Working - 2nd Place:  Kaleigh Hughes; Woodworking - 3rd Place:  Bryce Bollenbeker; Watercolor - 3^rd Place:  Bree Lewis; and Holiday Card - 3rd Place:  Mia DeVinney. The students that attended were as follows: Seniors: Bryce Bollenbecker, Hunter Armistead, Brock Cleary, Austin Coursey, Ashlee Gilbert, Skyler Hale, Ti'Jara Hunt, Bree Lewis, Logan Long, Emma McReynolds, Madison Morrow, William Mullen, Katie Paul, Carleigh Phillips, and Dillon Porter; Juniors: Jayce Buchner, Maleah Buckner, Cameron Cardwell, Mia DeVinney, Katie Holloman, Shawn Steele, Morgan Todd, Kyran Williams, and Jesus Zamarripa; Sophomores: Olivia Bollenbecker, Nathan Cates, Cecily Christie, Jayden Hammer, Kaleigh Hughes, Madison Hyams, Laura Mullen, Allison Sadler, Rian Saul, Rob Skipworth, Ben Slack, MyDuyen Tran, Brandy West, Matthew Wilkerson, and Chris Williams; Freshman: Hannah Alford, Bryant Garcia, Diedre Hester, Cassidy Farwick, Jade Morris, and Chloe Whitescarver. The RHS Beta students are sponsored by Biology Teacher, Tanya Mullen, and Art Teacher, Chris Holloman. Mrs. Mullen said, “I am extremely pleased with everyone’s hard work coupled with their amazing talent.  I can’t wait to see how they apply themselves at the state competition level in January”.  Congratulations to the Beta Club as well as all of these competitors!
