Fourth Graders attend Safety Farm Day, 9/14/17

SES 4th graders

Fourth Graders from Stevenson Elementary School and all the area schools celebrated a special event this week as they traveled to the Logan County Extension Office to participate in the annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day on Thursday, Sept. 14!  The students excitedly tracked from station-to-station for illustrations of the best safety procedures regarding each subject.  The safety stations consisted of Electrical, Fire, Tractor/Mower/ATV, Nutrition/Physical Activity, Water, Animal, Gun, Chemical, and 911.  SES 4th grade teachers are Ms. Drew Norwood, Mr. Bryan Rush, and Ms. Kaitlin Yowell.  Carol Kees, SES Family Resource Coordinator, Ashley Staggs, SES Guidance Counselor, Ralyn Franklin, Special Ed teacher, parents, grandparents, and volunteers assisted as well.  Under the direction of Tanya Mullen, RJSHS Beta Club members also volunteered their time. Thanks are extended to Ms. Carrie Derossett, the 4-H Youth Development Agent, the Extension Office staff, and so many within our community as they provided this great event for our students.
